Vancouver, Washington—and indeed the entire Southwest Washington region—is a growing community that’s part of the Portland Metro area. This highly desirable area offers all the amenities and convenience of a large city, while maintaining a natural, quiet feel that’s excellent for recreation and raising families. You’ll feel right at home among friendly neighbors who share your concern for the environment.
Peter Glavin brings more than 20 years of construction experience to Glavin Homes. In 2007, seeing tremendous potential for green building, he participated in a Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) pilot program. Peter and Glavin Homes’ project manager Kriss, set out to build three Gold certified homes in the Hidden Leaf subdivision. After months of painstakingly navigating the new world of green building, Peter and Kriss achieved Emerald certification for these homes—one level above their initial goal.
Niall Glavin caught the building bug from his dad, Peter, and joined the family business over 10 years ago. (Though, he’s been helping dad since he was about 8 years old.) Niall is very active in the green building community, recently accepting a role as vice chair of the local Green Building Council.
